ECI Team Camp: Trask vs East Chapel Hill Standouts
Trask HS 2020 Guard Jajuan Carr: Without question he was the best prospect on the floor, although he is playing out of position with this team you can still see the talent and potential. He’s quick and athletic with nice ball handling skills and takes a team first approach to the game, is one who has a chance to be a top guy in the state for 2020.
East Chapel Hill 2018 Forward Ian Proctor: Smaller college programs should be keeping an eye on this young man, he’s 6’5 210 pounds and loves to play inside the paint. He has decent hands, and although he’s not the most athletic player he did a solid job of finishing inside throughout.
East Chapel Hill 2018 Guard Chris Garland: Chris is a high flyer with a football type of body, he may have had one of the top highlight dunks of the camp when he posterized a Trask opponent after getting a steal on defense. He’s play the game with enthusiasm and intensity and doesn’t take any plays off.
East Chapel Hill 2018 Center Tim Masuri: Very raw and what we call a project player, he’s still learning the game and finding his way but you can teach what he has which is 6’8 with good length. Schools looking for a project player that they have time to invest in should take a look at him.
Trask HS 2020 Guard Watson Orr: Watson is a 3 point specialist and a solid overall role player for his team, he didn’t start off the game with hot shooting but as the game went on he began to heat up from downtown. In the closing moments of the game when Trask went on their final run he knocked down two treys from each corner.
Trask HS 2018 Guard Jaylin Mashack: Contributed well for his by scoring from the win position, he knocked down some trey balls, got into the gaps of the defense and hustled hard. The amount of energy he plays with every game is truly impressive.
