Early OHC Top 5
After spending the last few days previewing Dayton Divisions as a whole, now I will shift my focus to early conference previews. The goal here is to show you right now who the Top 4 teams are in the conference and the Top 5 players. Let’s look at the Ohio Heritage Conference.
- Springfield Catholic Central– With Fairbanks and Southeastern losing too much to maintain as the top 2 teams in the OHC, Catholic Central moves up and takes over the #1 spot. They have arguably one of the top backcourts in the conference and have plenty of young guys ready to step up and help lead them.
- Greeneview– The Rams could have been one of the better teams in the conference one year ago, but Southeastern was just too much for them. This time around, with Mason Schneider returning and leading them, Greeneview has a real shot of giving SCC a tough run for the #1 spot.
- Fairbanks– The Panthers lost 3 key players to graduation, but still returned Cross Hackathorne who was a 1st Team all-OHC player last year. We will have to wait and see how Fairbanks’ new starters perform before moving them higher than #3 in the conference.
- West Liberty-Salem– The Tigers return several key pieces from a year ago and look to take the next step in their descent to the top of the OHC. Neil Markin leads the return for WLS who is loaded with guards and will be one of the better backcourts in the conference.

Sabien Doolittle (Catholic Central)- Do-it-all guard with great offensive skill.
Colby Cross (Cedarville)- Young PG with great court vision and a nice shooting touch.
Charlie Bertemes (Southeastern)- Young guard with great 3PT shooting touch.
