Some of Dayton’s most underrated players are some of the city’s top shooters. Here are the top 5 shooters in Dayton.
Cole Bundren (2018)- Cole is a senior forward for Franklin HS. He shot an astonishing 50% from the 3PT line a year ago. With his 6’3 frame plus help from some of the best ball distributors in the SWBL, Bundren can take over a game with his shooting and will be a dangerous weapon for the Wildcats.
Jack Clement (2019)- One of the top guards in the CBC last season, Jack started for Bellefontaine as a sophomore and used his shooting as a weapon. Knocking down 44% of his 3PT shots last year, Clement was a strong scorer for the Chieftans and will continue to be a leader next season.
John Engelmeier (2018)- Most of John’s shots during his time with Fenwick last year were long range shots. Shooting 41% from beyond the arc caused defenses to shift towards him, opening up scoring chances for fellow teammate C.J. Napier, who had a breakout season last year. Engelmeier will help lead a Falcons team returning many major pieces next season.
Jack Hendricks (2018)- Jack may have the most range of all the players on this list. The senior Firebird shot 38% from the 3PT line last season, but can also attack a defense with his incredible midrange shot. Once Hendricks gets hot, he doesn’t miss easily.
Michael Kreill (2019)- Butler’s young guard, Kreill shot 48% from beyond the arc last season. Second in scoring behind only Miles Joiner last season, Michael will likely take over the Aviators scoring duties next season, and his dagger of a 3PT shot will help him do that.
