Dayton’s Top 4 Free Throw Shooters
One of the biggest mistakes a team can make is putting the wrong guy on the free throw line at a crucial time during a game. These 4 guys are some of those guys you don’t want on the free throw line with the game on the line.
Levi Boettcher (2018)- Urbana’s top scorer last season, Levi overall is a tremendous shooter but especially at the free throw line. Shooting 85% last year, Levi missed only 9 free throws all last year and used his ability to attack the rim to get to the line. The senior sharpshooter is an early candidate for CBC player of the year.
Kort Justice (2018)- An 82% shooter, Kort was one of the top free throw shooters in the GWOC a year ago. He doesn’t have a bad 3 PT shot as well shooting 36% from behind the arc. He along with Duncan Hall will be a strong duo for the Vikings next year.
David Luers (2018)- David may be one of the top free throw shooters in Dayton. He shot an astonishing 89% last year and only missed 5 free throws all season. He is one of several Falcons returning that give Fenwick a chance at being a dark horse next season.
Grant Whisman (2020)- The Mohawks have one of the best post players in the SWBL. Grant is also one of the better free throw shooters for a post player. He shot 84% last year and found ways to get to the line. He shot over 130 free throw last season due to his ability to play aggressive in the paint. Grant is a name to watch in the class of 2020.
