Big Shots : Charlotte 2020-2021 NC Players
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some 2020-2021 kids from the State North Carolina that we saw this weekend at Big Shots – Charlotte.
LucRichard Rameau (2020) – Ravenscroft HS / Team Wall 15U
Rameau 6’2 wing played inside-out on the floor at times today. Rameau was able to knock down mid-range jumpers and the 3 ball on a consistent level today.
Joshua Owens (2020) – Forest Hill HS (Monroe) / Charlotte Nets 15U (pictured on front)
Owens 6’4 combo forward defends bigger post players when needed. Owens left-handed has good length and really stays active on the boards. Owens was able to put the ball on deck and attack the rim from the corner on several occasions today.
Dedrick Givens (2020) North Mecklenburg HS / Team Charlotte 15U
Givens 6’5 small forward never seems to leave the floor for Team Charlotte 15U. Givens is very vocal on the floor and plays with a great deal of passion on both ends of the floor. Givens got most of his points in the paint as activity guy around the cup.
Valentin Bilounga (2020) – Deeper Life Academy (Washington) / Team Premier
WOW !!! Bilounga threw a block party today recording 9 blocks in the game we watched. Bilounga played last season at Capitol Christian (MD). Bilounga 6’10 is a high level shot blocker now that needs to learn to play with his back to the basket. Bilounga is still raw offensively but he does run the floor well and has a great motor. Bilounga will for sure make Head Coach JR Guilford happy at Deeper Life Academy.
Cinque Lemon (2021) – Overhills M.S. (Spring Lake) / Team Wall 16U
Lemon playing up on Team Wall 16U will be entering the 9th grade this season at Overhills HS according to the coaching staff. Lemon looked very comfortable on the floor knocking down several three pointers. Lemon 6’3 will for sure be a kid to follow in the years to come.
Jordan McPhatter (2021) – Charlotte United Christian / Team Charlotte 15U
McPhatter is a fearless left-handed guard who got to the basket when he wanted to today. McPhatter 5’9 has a killer cross-over move and a great nose for the ball.
Jalen Hinton (2021) – Concord First Assembly (Concord) / Team Charlotte 15U
Hinton 5’8 point guard really likes to play 94 feet. Hinton quick end to end hit a few mid-range jumpers today in transition. McPhatter and Hinton in the back court are both entering the 9th grade this coming fall.
