Big Shots : Charlotte 2019 NC Players Part 1
The talent was at Big Shots – Charlotte this past weekend. Prep Hoops SC took in all the action from the event. Here is a look at some of the 2019 North Carolina players to start following.
Shakeel Moore – Piedmont Classical (Greensboro) / Team Exposure (pictured on front)
Moore is a explosive left-handed point guard who really seems to excel in transition. Moore has a quick 1st step to the basket get by defenders all day long. Moore used a quick cross-over move to get by defenders routinely. Moore averaged 10.4 ppg this past season at 29-12 Piedmont Classical.
Brycen Thomas – High Point Christian / Team Exposure
Thomas 6’2 has informed Prep Hoops that he’s transferring from Ragsdale HS to High Point Christian this coming fall. Thomas averaged 10.4 ppg last season at Ragsdale HS. Thomas a wing player connected on shots today from all 3 levels. Thomas scored 25 points in the game vs the South Carolina Kings 16U.
Chris Garland – East Chapel HS / North Carolina Courage
Garland was quite a surprise today watching him play. Garland plays with bit of a chip on his shoulder. Garland 6’0 is a very athletic kid who can score the ball in a hurry. Garland averaged 20.8 ppg this weekend for the North Carolina Courage. Garland is a big-time leaper and high flyer who executed a few dunks in transition today.
Seth Bennett – Charlotte Christian / Charlotte Dragons
Bennett 6’2 shooting guard had a solid weekend for the Charlotte Dragons. Bennett usually just sits on the perimeter to knockdown shots. Bennett hit several three pointers today.
Paul Hudson – Charlotte Christian / Charlotte Dragons
Hudson 6’5 a left-handed combo forward player finishes around the cup. Hudson can play inside-out on the floor. Hudson transferred into Charlotte Christian this season from South Meck HS. Hudson a 4/3 type forward is rangy and very active on the floor. Hudson blocked several shots here today. Hudson recently picked up a scholarship offer from Hampton University.
Hudson averaged 8.2 ppg and 6.7 rebounds for the Sabres last season.
Brice Williams – Hopewell HS (Huntersville) / Team Loaded 704
Williams 6’5 is a bit of a stat sheet stuffer on the floor. Williams who has a good upside can handle the rock coming up the floor or driving to the basket. Williams plays bigger than his size. Williams will rebound the ball on both sides of the floor.
