Baden I-85 Circuit Finals 2018 Standouts
Prep Hoops SC took in the action and will stay here through the finals of the Baden I-85 Circuit Finals. The finals are being held at the Upward Center in Spartanburg, SC. Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some 2018 players from the State of North Carolina in the event.
Cody Cline – Cox Mill HS (Concord) / PSB North Gold (pictured on front)
Cline a left-handed point guard is cat quick from end to end with the ball. Cline got into the lane quite easily for PSB North Gold today. Cline looks to make things happen with his shifty ball-handling at times. Cline 6’1 will bring back his team back on Day 3 for the final day from Spartanburg.
Freddie Taylor – New Hanover HS (Wilmington) / Flight 22 Premier
Taylor a point guard has been playing varsity basketball ever since his freshman season at New Hanover HS. Taylor a pesky defender really can get the ball into the lane. Taylor likes to play with some attitude on the floor. Taylor has limited perimeter skills but really knows how to direct a offense on the floor.
Justin Hurte – Fuquay Varina HS / Swarm City Hornets
Hurte 5’10 point guard was on fire in the opener for the Hornets today. Hurte a left-handed guard with a great crossover move got by defenders all day long for the Hornets. Hurte connected on a few three pointers while scoring most of his points at the rim or from mid-range.
Melvin Johnson – Broughton HS / Swarm City Hornets
Johnson 6’4 wing really defends on the ball and is a bit of a pest on the floor. Johnson a slender-sleek athlete is a good passer in the half court set and really played the passing lanes well.
Kyle Freeman – Hickory Grove Christian School / Charlotte Nets Bell 16U
Freeman was a shot-maker today for the Charlotte Nets Bell 16U. Freeman a shooting guard is catch-shoot guy and has a great quick shot release.
