Westover Team Camp Standout Players
Saint Paul’s HS C/O 2018 Forward Romeo Jordan: He’s got an opportunity to be a very good player, at 6’5 with nice athletic ability you can see the potential without a doubt. With his team down double digits he put together a big time scoring half to bring them back to tie the game, colleges at the D2 and D3 level should keep a close eye on him.
Saint Paul’s HS C/O 2020 Point Guard Monte: This youngster is entering his rookie year of varsity basketball, but he already has a game that makes it look like he’s playing for a few years at that level. He’s a crafty ball handler, gifted passer, solid shooter and a confident player who has a high amount of potential.
EE Smith C/O 2019 Forward Keondre Fryar: Keondre played how we expected him to, he brought constant energy and effort on both ends of the floor. He’s a high flying forward that knows how to use his ability to get the job done, expect a big time season for him.
Cape Fear HS 2018 Guard Messiah Bryant: A strong bodied guard that shot the ball at a very high percentage from deep, loves to compete and brings a high level of energy. What I liked about him the most is how coachable he seemed to be , you didn’t see him on the bench upset when he was taken out of the game.
Cape Fear HS 2018 Guard Kevin McLaughlin: Kevin was a huge part of why Cape Fear was successful last season, he does a good job of not turning the ball over even when under intense pressure, has the ability to score but gets others involved.
Westover HS C/O 2018 Forward Jalin Thorne: Jalin has been on the radar of many for a little while now, in this event he showed his ability to not only rebound the ball but also to face up against his defender and score the ball.
EE Smith C/O 2019 Guard Isaac Bonds: Quick guard that started to create some buzz for himself during the end of last season, coming into this season during the summer he’s shown the ability to lead the team in scoring and assist.
