Saint Andrews University Workout Part 2
Corry Addison (Fairmont HS): Has decent height and nice wingspan for a guard, defends very well and forces opponent into difficult shots. Offensively he finished well especially in transition, doesn’t over dribble so his turnovers are usually low.
Derrick Arnette (Fairmont HS): One of the best defenders throughout the day, had numerous plays where he came up with steals or forced turnovers, did an outstanding job of sharing the ball and getting guys the ball in great positioning.
Chris Smith (Jacksonville HS/Pitt CC): Chris was one of the better scorers in the gym, he has a body that is ready to play on the 4 year college level and can score from multiple levels.
Kaheem Pittman (Fairmont HS): This class of 2019 youngster is a high flyer, he has very long arms and uses his bounce to make plays off and above the rim. One player in particular that made the gym go crazy was when he got a steal, took the ball coast to coast and finished with a thunderous dunk.
Nyjel Khowlin (Northwood Temple) : One of the smaller players at camp but he showed that its more about heart than it is about height, he battled with guys that were much taller than him and was productive despite limited touches.
Brian Free (Piedmont Classical High): A very quick guard that knows how to get to his spots, once he gets out into transition he is a very difficult player to try and stop.
Isaiah Jones (Wake Forest High): At 6’4 he plays a lot bigger than his size list, he’s very active on the glass defensively and offensively, runs the floor well.
Justus Baldwin (Southern Vance HS): Probably was the best guard in the building, he has a very high motor but is skilled, and doesn’t give up on plays. Probably had the play of the day when he came up with a big time chase down block, after a teammate’s turnover.
