Recruiting Report: Will Mulquin (2018)
A big part of Georgetown Prep’s offense is their ability to knock down shots from the perimeter, and Will Mulquin is one of the best in the area at that.
“I’m a shooter that can hit threes and pull up jump shots,” said the 6’5 rising senior. “I can play a multitude of positions, and rebound the ball well using my length.”

Mulquin hit 14 threes in limited minutes last year, but that number should make a significant jump. Last season’s team leader in made threes, Anthony Scafide, has graduated. Expect Mulquin to pick up some of the slack along with ’19 guard Kamdyn Curfman.
“In the last 12 months, I have improved my physicality and ability to finish at the rim. As a result, I’ve been getting to the line more and drawing more fouls,” Mulquin explained. “One thing I’ve been working on lately is my ball handling. It’s something that constantly needs to be worked on by all players, but it is an aspect of my game that I’m trying to perfect this summer.”
One underrated aspect of Mulquin’s game is probably how vocal he is. Whether it’s calling out things he sees on defense, or pointing out to a younger guy where to be, he’s very vocal in games and clearly tries to be a leader at all times.
“I have a 93 average in high school. I took AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics Junior year, and will be taking AP Calculus BC, AP Economics, and AP Bio Senior year. I’m currently Senior Representative of my school and president of the German Club,” Mulquin stated. “I’m currently getting interest from Army, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, College of Charleston and Radford. I’m also getting high academic D3 looks (MIT, Carnegie Mellon, UChicago).”
What can Mulquin bring to a college program?
“I can bring my hard work ethic and high caliber shooting ability to a college program. I never settle for less than 110% and push my teammates to be the best they can be.”
