Lindbergh 6-foot-6 wing Jalen Green is one of Washington’s most intriguing prospects, and has a big summer ahead to turn some of his Division I interest into offers.
Currently, Green has one D1 Offer, that’s from Portland, but others seem on the verge of pulling the trigger and adding to that single offer.
“I currently only have an offer from Portland University, and interest from Weber State,” said Green. “I haven’t taken any visits yet but I hope to after the summer.”
This summer will undoubtedly by a very important one , not just for Green — Washington’s 9th-ranked 2018 — but all of the 2018 prospects.
“I’m playing for coach Gary Ward on the Northwest Panthers, and my spring was not what I wanted. But this June, I will be working hard to improve and have a good summer. I hope to have a good summer and get another offer, hopefully high D1.”
With great size and an ever-increasing skill-set, it seems a matter of time before other schools decide to get involved with Green.
“I can shoot, dribble and I like to pass. I have to improve my ball-handling and how I drive to the hoop off the dribble. My arms are long so that helps with rebounds and on defense,” said Green, who assessed his play from his junior season.
“My junior season at Lindbergh went well, my team went to state I was averaging about 25 (points) with 11 rebounds and 6 assists (per game).”
The goal for this summer?
“Like I said: I hope to obtain a high D1 offer,” said Green. “And have a good summer playing for the Panthers.”
