Prospect Spotlight: Drew Green (2019)
Drew Green, a class of 2019 guard at Lake Clifton, is having a breakout spring with Cecil Kirk. Prep Hoops Maryland Contributor Colby Giacubeno predicted this, and he was absolutely right. Green was a standout at the DC Metro Showcase.

“My game is fast pace, Hard to guard, and I’m a good defender,” Green explained. “One thing I do on the court most people probably don’t notice would be my help defense causing turnovers.”
A long-limbed guard with a slender frame, Green has an explosive first step and gets off the floor quickly. He finishes well in traffic, and does not shy away from contact on his way to the rim. Green has improved a as a playmaker, and clearly likes getting others involved.
“The most improved aspect of my game would be my ability to see the floor more to make good passes,” said Green. “I need to work more on my shooting.”
As noted earlier, Green has a 4.0 GPA, and is taking care of business off the court. While he has gone under-the-radar in most recruiting circles, it shouldn’t be too long before he generates some buzz. What can a college program expect from Green at the next level?
“I think I can bring scoring and defense.”
