Prospect Spotlight: Amite 2017 Izarius Grady (Video)
Izarius Grady is a sharpshooting guard from Amite, a school that’s more known for it’s reputation as a football factory. This year, though, the Warriors were a contender thanks in large part to Grady. They won 23 games en route to the 2nd Round of the Class 3A playoffs, and were a tip in away at the buzzer (video) from beating No. 4 Ville Platte as the 20th seed.
Grady served as the team’s floor spacer knocking down long range shots at a high rate and also proved to be a good passer finding teammates in tight spots. There were also times when the 5-foot-10 guard showed some explosion attacking the rim and he’s a smart player that doesn’t make too many mistakes.
Grady finished with a 3.4 GPA with a 17 on his ACT and is considering an opportunity to walk on at Grambling with no offers in hand. Here’s a look at his senior season with Amite:
