Stock Riser: Mike Wynn (2018)
Mike Wynn (2018)
2018 guard Mike Wynn has put together quite a spring playing with Team Loaded VA. He has seen his stock move upward in a whirlwind.
He spent the past high school season playing with Liberty Heights High School in Charlotte. His head coach is Michael Wright, a coach who has been an assistant at Quality Education Academy in Winston-Salem among other stops.
He had this to say about Wynn, “Tough kid, crafty, finishes at the basket. Practices hard everyday Get’s better as the game go on. Big things coming for him, someone is going to get a winner.”
He has picked up offers from Southern Miss, East Carolina, Southern Utah, Southeastern Louisiana, Florida Atlantic, and Sienna.
Wynn is a playmaker that can fit into any system with his style of play. He is long at 6-foot-6 and uses this to his advantage to see over smaller players and make passes that some players cannot see. He is ranked as the 24th best prospect in the 2018 PrepHoopsNC class.
On the adidas Gauntlet circuit with Team Loaded VA, Wynn has been averaging 5.7 points per game to go along with nearly 3 rebounds per contest. With a strong July, Wynn would secure some other offers and put him into the mid-major/high major category that we are seeing him play at.
