Stateline Raiders win 17U Spring HoopFest title
The Stateline Raiders took a new look New Orleans Wolves team this weekend in the Spring HoopFest tournament in a matchup that came down to the wire. The Wolves were up 52-42 with four minutes left in the game but Stateline battled back to win 57-56 in the last minute.
East Feliciana 2018 W/F Cedric Anderson pulled the Raiders back in it with two big 3-pointers that cut the score to 52-51. The 6-foot-4 prospect actually did most of his work inside the arc on Sunday and was one of the top performers throughout the day.
The Raiders also got contributions from West Feliciana 2018 PG Davon Harris, Zachary 2018 PG Calvin Adams and West Feliciana 2018 G Chad Tillery. The Wolves were led by a host of players including St. Augustine 2018 G Sai Fisher, West Jefferson 2019 PG Dajour Lloyd, Hahnville 2017 PG Raylon Hardy, Salmen 2017 G Deitrick Stovall and Cohen 2018 W/F Jamon Mack.
The Raiders also beat Back 2 Basics (51-50) and the Soldiers (66-58) in two highly competitive games on Sunday before playing the Wolves, who defeated the MS Kings in their only other game on Sunday.
