Spring 2017 All-High Motor Team
We hear a lot these days about ‘‘high motor ‘’ players, which is basically players that bring an excellent amount of energy and effort to their teams. Well over the high school season and into the Spring AAU season we have got the opportunity to see quite a few players that do this for their squads, listed below are a few of those players.
Northside HS & Flight 22 F/C Jason Mixon: This young man has come quite a ways in just a short amount of time, for a team that had quite a bit of offensive fire power he did a great job of creating offense of his own off rebounds and put back plays.
Fike HS F/C Samson Strickland: It’s still a mystery as to why this young man hasn’t received more recruiting interest but he flat out gives maximum effort when he steps on the floor. He has a body that looks like a college football player and a very nice overall skillset that you have to love, colleges should be on him without a doubt.
Scotland County Hornets F Kyrese Stewart: Only an 8th grader but he brings effort that high school coaches will absolutely love when he gets to the next level. He is constantly going after loose ball, fighting for rebounds, breaking up plays and creating extra possessions for his team.
Hoke County F Andre Pegues: He’s a multisport athlete of football and basketball and you can see that when he’s on the court without a doubt. He’s a beast on the boards and brings intensity and energy for both his high school and AAU teams.
Northwood Temple F/C Travon Jackson: Although he is a very talented player, it seems as if he never takes a play off. When you have a player that has impressive athleticism as well as high energy and effort then you have a player that a coach loves and that is Travon Jackson.
Fayetteville Elite F Deumbre Ginyard: This young man brings it every single night, if he’s on the floor then you can fully expect it to seem like there is more than one of him playing due to how active he is. Not only does he bring but he brings skill as well, he averaged 11 Points and 7 Rebounds per game for the Golden Bulls this season.
EE Smith Keondre Fryar: Keondre has a nice mixture of athleticism and energy, using the combination of both of these he comes up with a high amount of rebounds as well as providing extra possessions for his team. Still a raw player but one thing is for certain this young man brings everything he’s got when he steps on the floor.
