On the Radar Sweet 16 Notes
The On the Radar Sweet 16 was held in Atlanta, Georgia over the past weekend and as usual, director Shun Williams had some of the best talent in the Southeast on hand. Here is a look at some of the standouts from the event.
Jaden Springer | B.Maze Elite| 2020 Guard – After spending his freshman season at Rocky River High School in Charlotte (NC), Springer has continued to impress college coaches with his play this spring. At 6-foot-5, he is the combo guard that plays both ends of the floor at a high level. There has been some speculation that he may transfer next high school basketball season, though nothing is set in stone. He currently holds offers from New Mexico State and Stephen F. Austin and is getting interest from a host of schools. Photo Credit:Shun Williams:On the Radar Hoops
Blake Preston | PSB Select, NC| 2018 Forward – The recent Liberty University commit can stretch the floor. His length inside allows him to grab rebounds and score points off missed baskets around the glass. He is a good shooter from out to 15-18 feet. He has height which cannot be taught. Always a valuable asset with colleges when recruiting in the post.
Jay Walton | Team South Carolina, SC 2018 Forward/Wing- Walton has the college ready body and plays with a great motor. He has broad shoulders and can bang in the paint for touches or while getting rebounds. He is 6-foot-5 and can step out and knock down the open jumper. He has the ability to finish plays above the rim and is very athletic. He is getting interest recently from UNC-Pembroke, where his older brother plays.
