Jeremiah Pope will officially pick a college today!
Another one of the top unsigned seniors in the state will be coming off the boards on Monday afternoon at Clinton HS. Guard Jeremiah Pope will officially announce and sign with the college of his choice after a recruitment that has been quite puzzling to many including myself. At 6’3 he can play the PG and the SG position, he has a natural ability to score the ball from inside and out without much difficulty. He brings competitiveness and confidence every time he steps on the court and still has a very nice amount of potential in him. So what school will he decide to go to? What are his options?

The Vikings are looking to add at the guard spot after losing some players to graduation as well as finding a backcourt mate to play with All CIAA Rookie Team player John Maynor. This would be a major pickup for the Vikings as Pope could bring in some much needed scoring for the squad that is in the rebuilding stage.

Jeremiah is a young man that is very close with his family so The Broncos are definitely considered a favorite to land Jeremiah. With the loss of Josh Dawson FSU is looking for a guard that can come in right away and play, and Pope can fill that void as he has the ability to score the ball, defend quick guards and bring confidence to a young team.
Brunswick Community College
With the recent signing of A.J Baldwin the Dolphins would love to have a backcourt of the old Team Wall AAU buddies of Baldwin and Pope. They complement each other’s game very well as Baldwin is more of a facilitator while Pope is a player that looks to get buckets. The distance from Supply, NC to Clinton, NC may end up being one of the reasons that Pope doesn’t choose BCC, however it would definitely be fun to watch Baldwin and Pope together again at the college level.
