Grassroots: Big Shots-Charlotte Saturday
Prep Hoops was at Big Shots – Charlotte this past Saturday. Here is some standouts that we saw on Saturday afternoon at Big Shots.
Daivien Williamson (2018) Winston-Salem Prep – TEAM WINSTON 17u
Williamson 6’1 guard a pure and relentless scorer. Williamson is a great ball handler and is a lock down defender. Williamson creates several turnovers and turns those turnover into points on the other end. Williamson controls the offense. Williamson scored 17 points in the win over Flight 22 Tennessee.
Corey Rutherford (2018) Atkins HS (Winston-Salem) – TEAM WINSTON 17u
Rutherford 6’4 shooting guard has a very quick shot release. Rutherford score six points in the win.
DeAnte Peteree (2018) North Forsyth HS (Winston-Salem) – TEAM WINSTON 17u
Petree 6’3 forward is a very good defender and rebounder. Petree can create his shot off the dribble. Petree can shoot from anywhere on the court.
Patrick KellyPatrick Kelly (2019) Virginia Espicopal (Lynchburg) – Big Shots North Carolina 2019
Kelly played with Big Shots North Carolina 2019 this weekend. Kelly 6’8 stretch 4 man usually plays with Team Loaded Virginia. Kelly fit in really nice with this talented group of players. Kelly runs the floor and shows great hands. Kelly filled the lane in transition.
Joshua Reid (2019) Havelock HS – FLIGHT 22 16u (photo on front)
Reid 6’0 guard can shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor. Reid is a very intense player on the defensive end. Reid caused several turnovers that turned into offensive buckets on the other end. Reid scored 24 points in the win over TEAM Carolina Bennett.
Isaac Wenzl (2019) Asheville Christian Academy – TEAM CAROLINA BENNETT
Wenzl 5’10 guard can shoot the ball from any range on the court. Wenzel scored 17 points in the loss against Flight 22 16u. Wenzl likes to pop off screens for open looks at the basket.
Elan Muniz (2020) West Oak HS (King) – Carolina Soliders
Muniz 5’10 guard connected on five three pointers and scored 17 points in the loss against TEAM Felton 2020 GSO.
