Wilmington Basketball Club 2020 Team Preview
The Wilmington Basketball Club 2020 Team is off to a very good start already this spring, just as recently as this past weekend they went 5-0 and won the Big East Division Championship in the Queen City Challenge. The team is made up of numerous talented players from the East side of the state, the majority of the players you haven’t heard of before but one you should be very familiar with is Guard Jordan McNeill. McNeill starts at the Shooting Guard spot for Lumberton and was very successful this season being named to the All-Conference team as an Honorable Mention selection. Some other players that have impressive résumé’s on this squad already are: Trask HS Guard Jujuan Carr who finished his freshman season averaging 12 Points, 5 Rebounds and 2 Assist per game, Mikai Stanley of New Hanover is also one to keep an eye as he’s already 6’2 with some athleticism. With any young team you can expect ups and downs throughout the season but these youngsters are definitely worthy of being on the radar of college coaches already as we see numerous players on their roster with the potential to play college basketball.
