Unsigned Senior Alert: Bryan Frazier
School: Corinth Holders
AAU: Carolina Thunder
Height: 6’3
Position: Guard
Last weekend I got to see the Carolina Thunder AAU program for the first time this summer/spring, the team is filled with college prospects and they were fun to watch throughout the tournament that day. One of those players that stood out was unsigned senior Brian Frazier, he had a very impressive day throughout and after the games I got a chance to talk with him and he informed that at this point NC Wesleyan is in the lead for services for next year but he is still unsigned.
What makes him special?
Brain is player that you can truly call a combo guard due to the fact that he can legitimately the Pont Guard and Shooting Guard spots. When he’s playing the PG position he looks to get everybody involved, using his advanced passing skills as well as height to see over small guards. Brian also is a solid ball handler that understands how to get from Point A to Point B without anything extra which allows his turnovers to remain low. When he plays off the ball, he uses his strength and athleticism to slash to the basket as well as a very nice shooting stroke that helps him knock down jump shots at a solid rate. On the defensive end he is just as impressive as he is offensively, he brings constant pressure to whoever he’s guarding and playing outstanding help defense as well. There were numerous plays where he came up with steals from playing the passing lane as well as blocked shots from help side defense, you always love a player that seems to take pride on the defensive end of the floor and Brian absolutely does. As stated earlier his recruitment is still open but as Brian told us ‘‘NC Wesleyan is in the lead right now, I heard from Fayetteville State recently about visiting and a workout but Wesleyan has been on me the hardest.’’
