Teyvion Kirk to Ohio
Joliet West 2017 point guard Teyvion Kirk had an outstanding senior season. He signed with Drake in the fall, but after the coaching change he decommitted and got his release on Christmas. He became one of the more coveted mid-major points in the state after his release. After concluding his official visit to Ohio, Kirk has committed to the Bobcats.
“It’s a great place and the best all-around situation for me. Everyone welcomed me with open arms. Felt like a family.”
The rangy point guard is outstanding getting in the lane and converting in the paint. Slippery through traffic with the ball. Likes to use the euro step in the lane. Also uses his defense to flip into points by getting blocks/steals and going coast to coast for buckets. Sound mid-range shooter. Not a consistent three point threat at this point, but has the mechanics to get there. Runs a team and gets others involved. Mid-major/mid-major plus recruit that will be an immediate impact player for Ohio next season.
He is the #13 overall prospect in the senior class and #3 point guard. Kirk played for Young & Reckless during his grassroots career.
