Recruiting Report: Eddie Creal (2018)
Joliet West 2018 shooting guard Eddie Creal is an uber athletic 6’3” two guard that loves to slash to the hoop. Uses his strong upper body to finish through contact. Strong crossover move allows him to get in the lane. Over dribbles a bit at times. Jumper is streaky. Rebounds great for a guard and impacts the game with his length and anticipation on defense. D2 prospect with low-major potential.
Creal and his team at Joliet West had a magical run throughout the high school season. They fell short to their rivals in the playoffs, but overall it was a successful campaign for him and the program.
“We had a good year. We had a good run. We fell short to Bolingbrook, but we played our hearts out. We did everything we were supposed to do. Just fell short. I think I played pretty good. I helped the team out with the wins. I had a good role on the team.”
He broke down what he feels his strengths are as a player.
“Being a slasher. Do all the little things. Play defense and grab rebounds. Play hard. That is what I normally do.”
Creal spoke about his Hoops4Health team this spring and summer on the circuit.
“We have to get our team together and practice more. We have to learn more of our stuff. Once we do that we will be good.”
Creal mentioned that a pair of programs are texting and calling him.
“I have interest from Yale and Tulsa.”
