Raid Nation 17u vs Fayetteville Elite 17u
Raid Nation & Fayetteville Elite matched up two times on Saturday during a local warmup AAU tournament at Methodist University. Raid Nation would take the first win in pool play by coming back from a large deficit and winning by 8 while Fayetteville Elite would get revenge in the Championship game winning by double figures. Listed below are some of the players from both teams that stood out and should be tracked by colleges of all levels:
2018 Latrell Lloyd: This young man was key piece in Raid Nation making a major comeback in the first matchup, he’s an outstanding athlete and when he’s aggressive he’s difficult to stop. One thing you have to love about Latrell is that he is a two way player, the same energy he brings on offense, he brings on defense.
2018 Stephon Lloyd: Stephon was another player that stepped up big time in the first matchup, he has a very smooth game and is a pass first type of PG. He makes sure that the whole team gets their touches first but he has a gift to score the ball as well.
2017 Tyshaun Archie: One of the top athletes in the building without a doubt, he kept plays alive with offensive rebounds and making plays above the rim. JUCO programs around the state have been showing interest and rightfully so, with the right fit he could develop into a nice college player.
2018 Brandon Murray: Brandon has been in somewhat of a shooting slump as of late, he’s known for his three point shooting but found other ways to be effective including knocking down some midrange jumpers.
2019 Talton Jones: You have to love what this youngster brings to the table at the PG spot, already about 6’3-6’4 with outstanding vision and athleticism he made plays throughout and is knocking down jumpers with more consistency.
2019 Emmanuel Izunabor: D1 schools should be offering this young man already, at 6’9 and only two years of playing experience I am absolutely amazed at how far he has come in a short span of time. He blocks shots at a very high rate, dunks just about everything he gets a chance at in the paint and is also a gifted passer.
2019 John Michael Wright: John continues to improve each time I get to see him play, he can score the ball at a very high rate and his ability to facilitate continues to improve.
2019 Deumbre Ginyard: We talk about players bringing energy to the game with their motor and this young man exemplifies that. He’s constantly making plays even when they aren’t drawn up for him, taking charges, getting rebounds and just about everything else you want for a hustle player.
2018 Isaac Bonds: You may not know this young man yet but give it time, he’s a quick guard that can score the ball very well, and is athletic.
