Kobey Woolhouse made something of a name for himself as a top scorer for an up and coming Mayer Lutheran team last winter. He’ll have an opportunity to showcase his scoring ability on a larger stage this spring and summer.

So far the team’s played in two tournaments and while the chemistry is still a work in progress, the talent is clearly there for a team that can win a lot this AAU season. Woolhouse is a big part of that.
“I think it’s gone well,” Woolhouse said. “This is my first time with this team so coming out with wins is great at this time of year.”
Woolhouse by trade is more of a combo guard who excels attacking and looking to score. He’s a dynamic scorer both in the mid-range and to the 3-point line. He’s got a strong frame and he’s a pest on the defensive end of the floor. He might be six feet tall, so a big key for him this spring/summer will be developing the point guard skills in his game to play at the next level.
“I’d like to improve my midrange and outside shot even more,” said Woolhouse. “I think the biggest thing for me will be improving my passing. I’m a point guard and shooting guard. Steve has me playing more point in AAU. So I’m excited to keep getting better.”
Woolhouse is still a bit under-the-rader at this point given Mayer Lutheran is a smaller school. But he’s gotten a little interest thus far from local D III programs. He’s definitely a player to watch this season with Comets Little.
“I’ve gotten some letters,” said Woolhouse. “I’ve been in contact a little bit with schools like St. Johns and St. Mary’s.”
