Prospect Spotlight: Hunter Tyson (2018)
One of the top juniors in North Carolina, Hunter Tyson has made a change to his summer.
The 6-foot-8 wing will be playing on the Nike EYBL circuit with one of the perennial powers, Team CP3 summer.
Highly regarded, Tyson is known for his shooting ability at his size and has been attracting numerous college programs to Peidmont HS outside of the Charlotte area.
Tyson already has ACC offers from Clemson and Wake Forest. Justin Byerly of PrepHoopsNC had the chance to talk with Tyson regarding his future and the summer ahead.
Justin Byerly: Going into your senior season what are some things you feel like you need to work on?
Hunter Tyson: I can always get better at everything but I’ve been working a lot on dribbling, shooting off the dribble and quickness. Switching teams for aau was a hard.
Justin Byerly: What played a role switching aau teams for your senior season?
Hunter Tyson: Switching AAU teams was hard, Team CP3 is one of the country to best prepare me for college and i feel the EYBL gives me the chance to do so.
Justin Byerly: What are your goals for the summer and for your last high school basketball?
Hunter Tyson: One of my main goals is to win Peach Jam, really just go out every game and do everything I can to prove I’m one of the best players in the country.
