KC Pacers surprise at the Prep Hoops Route 66 Kickoff
The Kansas City Pacers have no shoe contract, but don’t think for a second that they can’t play with the best. This weekend at the Prep Hoops Route 66 Kickoff the Kansas City Pacers knocked off a pair of shoe programs on their way to the championship game at the Prep Hoops Route 66 Kickoff. They nearly finished off the weekend on top, but fell in the late moments of the championship game against Kansas Pray N’ Play.
Two players led the way for the Kansas City Pacers. The impression of the Pacers after this weekend is simple, they do things the right way at all times on the court. Clay Gayman and Diego Bernard led the incredible weekend for the Pacers.
The offense starts with Benard at the Point Guard spot. He is an athletic, really quick Guard who can do it all. He opened the floor for his teammates with his quickness to the basket. Defenses had to constantly account for where Bernard was on the floor. He also rose up and might have had the dunk of the tournament putting a defender on a poster. Bernard is sneaky athletic.
Gayman is a 6’4 Wing who stretches the defense with his jump shot. Over the weekend Gayman was consistent from three-point range. The best way to describe Gayman is fundamental. Simply, Gayman is always making the correct plays on the court. He is not the fastest, however he is sneaky quick and has enough speed to get to the basket. He projects to the Division I level.
