Grassroots Preview: Team CP3
Team CP3 has a very well-known reputation in the state and country as they have been outstanding over the years with winning during the summer and spring as well as sending prospect to the next level. From players like Theo Pinson and Harry Giles to the more recent players like Devonte Shuler and Lavar Batts the squad continues to add to its history with continued successful seasons. This year is no different, the team has a very impressive amount of talent and will look to begin their run at another winning season when it takes the floor at the Boo Williams Sportsplex facility. Leading the way for the squad this year is 2018 Guard Coby White, you’ve heard of him already and he is as good as advertised, he can score it with ease from just about anywhere and is just as good as a facilitator. New addition to the squad is the Forward Jaylen Hoard from Wesleyan Christian, this youngster is very talented and that showed throughout this season, before the summer ends you can expect even more HM programs to being blowing his phone up. Leaky Black will also be back with the CP3 squad after a successful season with Montverde Academy, the 6’6 guard with a long wingspan will fit in nicely with Coby White in the backcourt. We must mention John Newman as well, one of the more underrated players for his 2018 Class but he flat out gets the job on a nightly basis, he can score, defend and has an outstanding IQ for the game.
