The Flight 22 Premier used to play under the name Wilmington Waves with Head Coach Ken “Tiger” Aldrich.
Aldrich brought his whole group over to the Flight 22 organization this off season. Aldrich a former
UNC-Wilmington player also works at Brunswick Community College as a assistant basketball coach.
Malique Jacobs originally from Wilmington played this past season at Bull City Prep. Jacobs started
his high school career at New Hanover. Jacobs 6’3 is a big guard that sees the floor well and has the ability
to slash to the rack quite easily.
Freddie Taylor
Freddie Taylor was Conference Player of the Year this past season. Taylor 5’9 point guard averaged 10.8 ppg
and 6.4 rebounds for the Wildcats. Taylor is a pesky point guard that keeps the ball on a string.
Ramello Williams
Ramello Williams 6’2 has no true position on the floor but really produces on the score sheet every night.
Williams averaged 15.4 ppg and 7.2 rebounds this season. Williams plays bigger than size in the paint and
has a great nose for the ball. Williams made 1st Team All-Conference for the second year in a row.
Wiz Vaughn took this past basketball season off after playing football. Vaughn is a big-time football recruit.
Flight 22 Premier is a close knit group and several of these kids have played together since grade school.
