Grassroots Preview: Fayetteville Magic 16U
The Fayetteville Magic are a brand new AAU Travel Basketball team made up of local Fayetteville area talent. The team formed in Feb 2017 and have played in four major tournaments so far this year, although the team is still working things out as far as getting used to playing with each other, they will be a team to keep an eye on. The coaching mentioned that they do want to win games but their main objective is to give local kids the opportunity to play and develop their skills. Although they didn’t win the NTBA Eastern Regional Tournament that took place last weekend in Fayetteville they gained something that was just as impressive as the championship trophy. What is that? Games and reps against very talented teams, one team that they faced in one of their final pool play games was CB Hoops, a squad composed of a high amount of freshman future star players. Playing against this type of competition will only help this squad as they continue to compete and play in events. Listed below is the team roster for the squad as well as the upcoming schedule for the month of May.

Quote from Head Coach/Founder: Clint Boneschans ”These kids have come together in less than two months and are already winning at the AAU level. We play hustle defense with a no quit attitude. What we have put together in this short period of time is going to be a force to be reckoned with this summer and is pure “Magic”.
