And one! Or maybe two. Trotwood-Madison’s Combo Guard, Torrey Patton has been one of the main names mentioned throughout the whole season. Everyone wanted to know “why doesn’t he have any offers?” Well let’s see, he set the record for most points in a DII Semi-Final game with 34 points in the lost against St. Vincent St. Mary, in Flying to the Hoop against Prolific Prep, he had 36, and he finished his season with 20.7 points per game with 5.8 assist a game.
All season everyone has been wondering why he hasn’t received any attention and offers from DI schools. The combo guard stands at about 6’3 with long arms that allows him to play the passing lanes for fast break points. He ended the season averaging four steals a game. Everyone who has had a chance to see Trotwood-Madison play this season knows they are all about defense and they turn those into quick and easy baskets. Patton loves to get out in transition to make plays. You can expect a highlight every time he has the ball in his hands.
Patton picked up two offers once the season ended. The University of Akron and Duquesne University both offered right away. Usually what happens is, once one offer comes in, multiple schools begin reaching out to hopefully land a commit.
Whoever gets Patton is getting a for sure steal. He can be used as a point guard or a shooting guard depending on what the team may need.
