He has a gift for passing the ball and finding teammates throughout the game, he has a very long wingspan to go along with his 6’4 height that makes things difficult for defenders. Also Tyrell has nice athleticism to make plays above the rim and a nice natural ability to score the ball even though he looks to distribute first. On the defensive end of the floor he’s got all the tools to be successful lockdown defender , although he’s not the quickest player he has solid lateral quickness to go along with his long wingspan. Last but not least he understands how to stay out of foul trouble, the numerous times I’ve seen him play he’s managed to stay on the floor for a good amount of time.
Q: In your opinion how has the season been going this far for you?
Tyrell Kirk: The season is going very well for us so far, we’ve put our mind to it that we will come out and play our hardest and win no matter what we have to do and do all the little things and we will come out on top.
Q: We’ve been seeing that you’re getting triple doubles at a high rate this season? Was that something you had set in your mind to do this season?
Tyrell Kirk: I had to stuff set in my mind to come out every game and play my role. Also sacrifice for my teammates and trust them it will get you a long way. I put it in my mind that nobody is going to stop me from achieving my goal and that’s to win state.
Q: Lastly how’s your recruitment been going and what schools have been in contact?
Tyrell Kirk: My recruitments been going well I have schools call me every day including VMI, Chowan, James Madison, Desquene , UNC-Pembroke, Limestone, Kings University.
