A 5-foot-11 floor-general, Flujence has some offers on the table.
“I’ve got some NAIA schools that want me to come and play, and I’ve got some prep schools that are interested in me,” said Flujence.
He mentioned NAIAs Philander Smith College (AR) and York College in Nebraska have extended offers. And he said Victory Rock Prep (FL) is interested.
But he’s holding out a bit to see in one area low-major Division I school acts upon some interest it’s showed to him.
“I’ve weighed all the pros and cons and I’m talking to LSU-A, and if they want me to come over I’ll go to LSU-A,” said Flujence. “But if nothing else comes about I think I’ll go the prep school route, and try and get a D1 offer.”
He did mention that though the NAIA options are a long-shot, they’re not out of the picture.
“It’s not out of the picture; it’s just those two schools are kind of far, and I don’t want to go anywhere where I don’t know if I’ll get a lot of playing time or exposure,” he said.
Wherever the talented point guard lands, that program will be getting a scoring guard who knows how to facilitate.
“I really excel at slashing and knocking down mid-range shots, that’s really what I do well. And I try and get open looks for my teammates, and I’ve been working on being more solid on the defensive side of the ball, and pulling down more offensive bounds for my team,” said Flujence.
Tonight, he and his Panthers embark on what they hope is a sustained postseason run. Flujence mentioned what his specific role is with this season’s squad.
“Every night, coach wants me to go in and score 20 plus and facilitate and get buckets for everyone else, and just be the floor-general,” said Flujence.
“Personally I feel like I’ve played pretty good. I could always knock down more shots, but I’ve been doing good playing the role that coach wants me to play.”
