Thomas is a 6-foot-4 small forward at Rosman. He has the ability to score the ball consistently past the three-point line. He has long arms and has a high basketball IQ. He averages nearly 8 rebounds per game while also coming up with nearly 2 steals per game.
The junior has already scored over 1,000 pooints for his career. He has big hands and can control the basketball to get into the paint and make the easy basket. He has a solid mid-range jumpshot and consistently knocks it down. In a game over Christmas break he scored 40 points (career high) in a win over Brevard High School. He has scored over 30 points in three other games so far this season.
Thomas has a great stroke and can light it up from outside of the 3-point line. In his 40-point game against Brevard, he also made seven 3-pointers.
Playing at a small school, football-first town in the Western North Carolina area of the state can be tough to get recognized. Thomas teams up with Harper Reese and his brother Hooper Thomas to lead the Tigers in scoring. His younger brother is a 6-foot-1 guard who averages 13.6 points and Reese, the senior averages 12.7 points. The three have helped lead Rosman to a 17-6 record so far this season.
