Continue ReadingThe Carolinas All-Star Basketball Classic is a high school basketball game for NC and SC bragging rights. Forty of the top North and South Carolina high school seniors will represent their school and state in the 20th Annual Carolinas All Star Basketball Classic in March in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Here are the rosters for the NC team of players that have accepted the invitation.
Lavar Batts 6’1 PG (Jay M. Robinson HS)– The VCU signee is ranked as the #1 recruit in North Carolina and will be Will Wade’s point guard of the future at VCU.
Connor Crabtree 6’6 F (Orange HS)- Will play next season at UNC-Asheville and is ranked by PrepHoopsNC as the #38 recruit in the state.
Quay Kimble 5’10 PG (Shelby HS)– The unsigned senior has had a great senior season scoring the basketball. Still waiting on the right offer. He is ranked 16th in the senior class.
Austin Nelson 6’6 PG (North Henderson HS)- The unsigned senior is averaging 29 points per game this season and has helped the Knights to a 19-3 record so far this season. Tennessee Wesleyan University has recently offered. Nelson recently broke the school record for career scoring and is ranked #27 by PrepHoopsNC.
Jalen Spicer 6’1 PG (Northwest Guilford HS) Spicer will play basketball next season at North Carolina A&T. He is ranked as the #31 senior in North Carolina.
Justyn Hamilton 6’9 C (Independence HS)- The 6-foot-9 center is taking his talents to Temple University next season. He is ranked as the #5 prospect in North Carolina.
Donte Tatum 6’1 SG (Cary HS)- Tatum has been gaining some high major interst as of late with Tennessee and Cincinnati coming to see him play. He has offers from Fayetteville State, Belmont-Abbey, Western Carolina, Campbell, South Carolina State and Maryland-Eastern Shore. He is ranked #25 in the senior class by PrepHoopsNC.
Moses Wright 6’7 F (Enloe HS)– The 6-foot-7 is a sleeper recruit in the 2017 class. He is very athletic and can get a lot of rebounds. Blocks a lot of shots and can score in the paint.
Carter Collins 6’2 G (East Chapel Hill HS)– Carter will play collegiately next season at Davidson for legendary coach Bob McKillop.
Tyler Maye 6’1 PG (Farmville Central)- One of the highest scoring guards in North Carolina has still yet to decide where he will play collegiately.
Alex Reed 6’4 SF (Garner HS)– Reed is one of the most prolific scoreres in Garner HS history. He has yet to make a college decision and holds a offer from Western Carolina University.
