Although there were plenty of stars and 20+ All-Stars, there was one player who would take home the Camp MVP honors and that would be Mr. Elijah Jamison. We got the chance to speak with Elijah for a few moments after the camp ended, not only was his on court performance impressive but his basketball IQ and demeanor is well advanced for a youngster his age.
Q: We see this is a really good camp, very competitive, coming into this event what did you expect out of it? And were your expectations met?
Eliajh Jamison: Yes it was a very good camp and I just want to come out and show my skills and show that I can get to the basket, dish the ball to my teammates, get everybody involved and score it.
Q: Do you feel all those things are naturally part of your game?
Elijah Jamison: Yes I feel they all are naturally apart of my guy , I just want everybody to eat, everybody passing the ball to each other and getting the whole team involved.
Q: How did you feel about the level of competition out here today?
Elijah Jamison: I feel it was great, the competition was high, guys were in here going at each other, you had to work for everything you got.
Q: Next year where can we expect to see you at for high school?
Elijah Jamison: At this point I’m not sure yet, I’m still deciding.
Q: Sometimes in camps it can be difficult to get your game going with everybody wanting to do their thing, do you feel like because of the way you naturally play it wasn’t as difficult? Or did you have to kind’ve read off of everybody else and take it from there?
Elijah: I had to read off of everybody else and adjust my game to how everything was going.
