“I’m feeling great, my team is getting better every night and we’re locked in. It started off rough without having a couple of key defenders and also not having the best shooting guard in the MAC (Kaedin Robinson) but we will be ready for the tourney.”
Reynolds is off to a 8-14 overall record with two regular season games remaining. Pruett is averaging 15 points per game, 3.2 asssists, 2.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals in 21 games played this season.
He is a quick 5-foot-9 point guard who can see the whole floor and doesn’t make many mistakes. One of the his biggest scoring outings of the season came against senior point guard Quay Kimble of Shelby HS as Pruett scored 27 points against The Golden Lions.
He is still uncertain on which AAU team he will run with this summer but he knows what he needs to get better, “This summer I need to work on being consistent with everything, I need to get stronger and faster.” The AAU season before any recruits senior season is by far the biggest of thier career. A strong showing may result in a scholarship opportunity.
A strong run in the conference tourney and a little run into the NCHSAA 3-A playoffs would help boost some confidence as well. With the football season being so long in North Carolina, basketball season takes the hardest hit with players continuing to play until mid-December.
