The Week Ahead: Border Battle is Saturday at AV
The Week Ahead is highlighted by Saturday’s Border Battle at Apple Valley matching the best of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The Border Battle. The match-ups are 100 percent outstanding with some of the state’s best.
Apple Valley vs Milwaukee Riverside. Apple Valley is led by 5 star junior Tre Jones while Riverside has Iowa State signed top 150 talent Terrence Lewis. Apple Valley is a top five Minnesota team, Riverside is 9-4 with Lewis scoring 29 a game.
Lakeville North vs La Crosse Central. Future Badger teammates Nathan Reuvers and Kobe King highlight with Reuvers being a top 100 guy, King a top 200 senior nationally. Add in Bailey Kale for Central, Tyler Wahl for North, and you have solid prospects to see. Central is 11-1.
DeLaSalle vs Kaukauna. Islanders with George Mason bound Goanar Mar and national top 250 guy Gabe Kalscheuer are defending their five state titles. Kaukana is a .500 team but is led by West Virginia committed Jordan McCabe with his 26 a game.
CDH vs Stevens Point. The Raiders led by Minnesota committed Daniel Oturu face a one loss Stevens Point team led by the 22 a game from Drew Blair. National top 100 talent Joey Hauser of Stevens Point is back from injury this week and will face Oturu in an exciting match-up of junior bigs.

TC Hoops Czar Mid-Week Special. Wednesday night games are in place for a guy like our friend TC Hoops Czar. What are his options (and the options for you to join him at?).
Edison at Prairie Seeds and more Minneapolis City games South at North, Henry at Southwest, and Washburn at FAIR.
Champlin Park at Hopkins. The Royals have not done well against the state’s best this year which is why they have four losses and have fell out of the top ten. This week they get a shot at the states number one team, Champlin Park. Hopkins is dealing with an injury or two which isn’t a good thing when you have to face the depth of the Rebels. Hopkins list by double figures to top ten teams Edina, Minnehaha Academy, Wayzata, and Maple Grove. This is a game they want badly. It will be the metro center of attention Thursday night.
Friday Night Predictions. I got slaughtered on my Friday night picks this past week. Slaughtered. It was Lee Corso like last week. This week we will preview the game a bit, pick, and give you a match-up to watch. What games will we talk about?
Park Center at Maple Grove is a good one. Orono at Delano is a huge game. EP at Edina. Lake City vs Zumbrota-Mazeppa will be packed. Mankato West and Mankato East renew their rivalry. St. Clair is at Minnesota Valley Lutheran. And rivalry game North St. Paul vs Tartan will be at Tartan.
