Here is a list of the top two unsigned senior big men in North Carolina. The top signed center in North Carolina, Brandon Huffman has signed with Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels.
High Point Christian (High Point) 6’11” C John Kerr- Big man from East Forsyth High School, who has attracted a lot of college interest for his soft touch around the basket and ability to alter shots on the defensive end. He is long and can alter shots. He needs to work on some of the little things but with the right system he can make a difference.
Village Christian (Fayetteville) 6’9″ C Nassyr Daniels– Fellow PrepHoopsNC scout Charles Clark had this to say about Daniels, ” Over the past few years we have watched Nas very closely and his progress has been very impressive, each year he has improved and it looks as though he will continue to progress over the next few years. One attribute that college coaches will like about Nas is his ability to block shots, he does a very good job of timing when the shot is going to go up instead of jumping too early like many other bigs do. In one particular game this season he had a game where he had double digit blocked shots (15) to go along with 21 Points and 11 rebounds in a win over Wake Christian. Offensively he does a good job of keeping the ball high when he catches it in the paint and finishing without putting the ball on the floor, he also stays very active on the offensive glass to provide extra opportunities for his team.”
