Stock Risers (Seniors)
With the new 2017 rankings out, we are highlighting players that have seen their rankings jump with some exceptional play. Here is our list.
Saxton Morby 6-0 SR Guard (Fremont) has been one of the best scorers in the entire and has jumped from the #53 spot all the way to the #21 spot. He is averaging over 20 points per game and has made 38 three pointers in route to leading his team to a 4-0 start in region play. Morby is a big time shooter and is able to shoot over defenders and can shoot the mid-range as well. He is a solid junior college and small four year prospect.
Trey Farrer 6-8 SR Forward (Pine View) has jumped all the way into our top ten with his big time play this season. The big man is averaging 20 points and 9 rebounds per game. Farrer’s offensive game is still a little raw but he is athletic enough to score consistently at the high school level. His defense is very high level and is a force in stopping teams. I think Farrer could be a D1 prospect with a couple of years at a juco.
Nate Harkness 6-5 SR Wing (Lone Peak) has jumped from the #25 spot all the way to the #7 spot. He has been one of the best overall players in the state of Utah with his 18 points per game average along with 5 rebounds and lock down defense. Harkness has already signed withe Westminster and his sole focus in a 5A state championship.
Kendrick Clayton 6-2 SR Guard (Mountain View) has jumped from the #36 spot all the way to the #15. He is averaging 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists and has team playing well. Clayton can score in multiple ways with shooting the ball from deep and getting to the hoop. He is a solid D2 prospect and also would be a good juco prospect.
Jaxon Clarke 6-2 Guard (Ogden) has gone from unranked to the #45 spot. His point guard play has been very solid and is a good shooter who can also get to the hoop. He is averaging 15 points and 4 assists and has Ogden in the hunt for a playoff bid. Clarke is a solid juco prospect and I think will excel at the college level.
