Dancy has soft hands receiving the basketball. Quality hook shot and can hit a mid-range jumper from 10-12 feet. Solid free throw shooter. Plus passer that is really good throwing outlets and also makes quality dishes in the high/low game. He doesn’t have much lift and isn’t a great athlete. Despite this he is a quality area rebounder that has a feel for where it is coming off the rim. Should be looked at as a priority D3/NAIA prospect that could be a D2 player in the right fit.
How is the season going?
“It is going pretty good. We are a lot better than we expected, but we still have a long way to go. I think I am playing pretty good this season. A lot of the points are spread out because of transfers. I am handling it down in the paint and EJ (Liddell) and the other guys are doing it on the perimeter.”
He spoke about his role for Belleville West.
“I am a scorer and a facilitator. Coach has me up top a lot making passes as a playmaker.”
What does he see as the strengths of his game?
“Good inside and have a mid-range shot. Good offensive rebounder.”
UMSL is a school that has expressed interest in him. Dancy played with the Southwest Jets on the circuit.
