“I’ve been talking to my coach and he wants me to head to a community college so I can get my GPA up there, and then transfer to a different school,” said Ford.
“He’s talked to me about three JuCos, but the main one he’s been talking to me about is Southwest Mississippi.”
He added: “I’m just hoping I get to a nice JuCo that I like, so that I can work on my game and my grades.”
A pass-first floor-general, Ford uses his quickness to set up his teammates, and is able to knock-down open looks if afforded the opportunity.
“I think my strengths are just taking people off-the-dribble with my first step, and then just creating shots for everybody else,” said Ford.
“I’m a really good set shooter, off-the-catch I’ll make it the majority of the time.”
He’s now winding down his career with the Bulldogs, and thanks in large part to his 22 points per game this season, Ford recently entered the 1,000 point club.
“My role has been just to score, and also to create opportunities for everybody else,” said Ford, who is excited about the success of his team.
“Our school hasn’t been winning in basketball for awhile, and we have the most wins since like 2003.”
