“The season has been going pretty good, everyone has contributed to the team in games but also practice,” said Guse.
This past weekend Waseca dropped their first game of the year (to second ranked Marshall 78-61) but their list of wins this year includes Mankato East, St. Croix Lutheran, WEM, Winona, SImley, St. Peter, and Fairmont.
With Adam Schumacher, Kaleb Nelson, and Malik Willingham surrounding the arc and Guse inside the Bluejays have excellent balance. Guse’s improvements have also been very important.
“I feel my game has improved defensively, but also in the post with footwork and moves and my free throws,” Jake told NHR.
Guse has a healthy group of interest from the NSIC, MIAC, and NAIA levels.
“The schools that are showing the most interest right now are Minot State, Gustavus, Briar Cliff, Hamline, Augsburg, Northwestern (Orange City), and Minnesota State-Mankato.
“I haven’t really decided yet, I’m kind of waiting until the season gets over.”
