Continue ReadingJesse Bergh has Lake Park-Audubon as one of the best Class A teams in the state of Minnesota and he’s putting up monster numbers once again.
Jesse is averaging 28 points and 17 rebounds and has had three 20 rebound games already,” said Coach Kyle Haberman. “He is shooting 75 percent from the field while facing constant doubles and triple teams. He has been a monster for us.”
Statewide, there have only been a few looks at Jesse. He was in the state tournament for a game and he played brief minutes for Minnesota Crossfire in a few events.
To get a better idea of who Jesse is, Coach Haberman explained his 6-foot-10 center to NHR.
“Jesse has continued to mature as an individual and has taken on more of a leadership role,” the coach said. “He has been virtually unguardable even as teams try different things.
“Jesse will only improve as a player and individual in the years to come. Watching him and Mitch Hall get their 1,000 point together on the same night was fitting. Jesse wanted Mitch to get it first and Mitch wanted Jesse to.”
Bergh is one of the top unsigned players in the state and right now where he will go to school seems completely up in the air.
“Every school in the area has contacted Jesse, along with many outside of the area. Right now he just wants to be a kid and play basketball. We will start making those decisions after the season is over.”
So there you have it, the top available big is going to make his decision this spring most likely.
