The South Dakota Attack product told PHIA that he wanted to get his college decision out of the way early so he could put all of his focus on his senior season with the Warriors.
“I had a couple offers coming into this past summer, and I had a sit down because I wanted to get my decision made so I could just focus on my high school season this year. So right at the end of football season, before basketball, I signed with Northwestern College in Orange City,” said Kroll.
“First, I really liked the coaches there and the players, and the facilities there are unbelievable. And after going to a couple games and seeing the way they play, and seeing how the players interact with each other and how positive they are with each other, I made my decision.”
“And it’s also a great school education-wise, too.”
A 6-foot-1 guard, Kroll says he’ll finish out his senior season and then sit down with his coaches at Northwestern and discuss what his immediate role might be with the team.
“We haven’t talked about that quite yet, I’m just kind of focusing on my high school season right now. And when my season’s done and their season’s done, I’ll sit down with them and talk about what I need to work on over the summer and stuff like that.”
Kroll is averaging 14.9 points and 3.9 assists per game this season, and is also swiping a team-best 2.7 steals per game.
“What I really focus on is the defense and knowing that my defense can lead to offense. I kind of just focus on the defensive end and that’s what gets me going,” said Kroll.
“I just really want to go out each game and perform my best to help the team win, and just see how many wins we can get this season.”
