He is always in position to shoot the rock and has a quick stroke from the perimeter. Can step into it off the bounce if the defense gives him room. Also is quick in transition. Solid on ball defender that pressures the ball.
Pickens spoke about his role for Curie as a senior leader.
“Being a leader and playing the point guard position. Making open shots. Making big shots. Running the team and putting everyone in the positions they are supposed to be.”
He broke down his game.
“I would describe my game as being able to score the ball. I can do it all. I can score and defend. I can get in the lane. I am a great teammate.”
Several small colleges have reached out to Pickens.
