Henley has a old school game, but he gets the job done. He has a high basketball IQ, does a great job of getting set in the post in the right postition, can knock down the mid-range jump shot consistently and can step out and knock down a three-point shot when called upon. One key to his average of nearly 20 point per game is his ability to score off of his left shoulder. He creates the space to knock down the baby-hook shot and has the height in this area to see over most defenders. He uses his length well to see open teammates in the half-court set or in transition. He has a good skill set and great footwork for a forward. Another skill that helps is his ability to attract the defense and be able to find the open teamate for a wide open score.
He is averaging almost 13 rebounds per game and his abilty to find defenders to box out when a shot goes up is purley fundamentals. He is a aggressive defender and is not afraid to get on the floor. Haywood County has long been known for hard-working athletes and Henley is one of those hard-workers. At 235 pounds it is not easy to get position on Henley, he uses his weight seal off defenders for easy passing entry into the post and pull down rebounds.
At Tuscola High School he teams up with another one of the more talented players in the area, Anthiny Westhusing. This tandem will control how far The Mountaineers advance into the NCHSAA playoffs.
As a freshman last season, Henley was named to All-WNAC Conference team.
