Weary compares his game to James Harden. He excels at pulling up in transition, but also has the ability to drive to the hoop. His long arms help him get to the basket and attract fouls to put him at the charity stripe often.
His comparison to Harden doesn’t stop there. He is smooth with the ball in his hands, but can also be crafty with his dribble and footwork. He wants to work on shooting the ball coming off screens and his off-ball movement.
“I really try to model my game after Harden by watching him often,” Weary said. “I believe that I put a lot of work in to become a better player, and I believe I outwork many other players.”
Just recently Weary received his first collegiate offer from Multnomah University in Portland.
“I have definitely given some serious thought about playing at the college level,” Weary said.
Weary is currently averaging 37 points per game and is looking to improve his game, and help his team win this season.
