Continue ReadingRecently we got the chance to speak to Greene Central Star Sophomore Forward Imajae Dodd, his recruitment has really taken off with multiple offers coming from mid major D1 level programs and interest from high major programs. He’s a very talented young player with a high ceiling and most importantly a very respectful and hungry student-athlete. He truly wants to get better at his craft and doesn’t mind putting in the work, he’s definitely a young man to keep a close eye on.
Q: What’s something that you guys learned today in the game that you feel like you can use that will help the team as the season goes along?
Dodd: Well we learned we can never underestimate a team, that team that we played was good, they had two premier players, and they could really knock down the three’s well. So we learned never to underestimate a team.
Q: What do you feel you bring to the high school team that you’re on now and possibly to a college program in the future?
Dodd: Well I bring that toughness, that physicality, my body may not always look like it but I bring that toughness and physicality.
Q: Recruitment wise what’s things been like for you?
Dodd: Wake Forest has been showing strong interest, NC State. Old Dominion and Tulane have already offered.
Q: On a game day for you is there anything you do, pre-game rituals?
Dodd: Well I listen to Lil Uzi, I like his music so I listen to him before games.
Q: Looking at some of the bigs that have come through this side of the state it’s a very impressive bunch of names, do you feel like you can be one of the next talented bigs from ENC?
Dodd: Yes sir, I just have to continue working, continue working on my outside game and just keep playing hard.

Dodd: Charlotte Hornets

Dodd: LeBron James
