Utah Autism Holiday Classic (Top Senior Prospects)
We are highlighting the top senior prospects that will be playing in the Utah Autism Holiday Classic. The tournament begins this Wednesday and finishes up on Saturday. All games will be played at Olympus High School. Here is our list:
Matt Lindsey, 6-3 Guard (Olympus) Is a player that is good at everything but not great at anything. Lindsey is averaging nearly 12 points per game for the 4th ranked team in 4A. He will need to keep his consistent play throughout the season if Olympus is to re-peat as champions. Lindsey is a solid D2 prospect.
Travis Wagstaff, 6-6 Forward (Olympus) has probably been best overall player for Olympus this season. He is averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. Wagstaff has the ability to step out and hit the three ball which opens things up for all of their guards. He projects as a D2 prospect.
Alan Lang, 6-7 Forward (Judge Memorial) is a lunch pale type of player for the Bulldogs. Lang is averaging 12.5 points and 7 rebounds per game. He does most of his damage in the paint but has the ability to step out and hit the mid-range shot. Lang has high academics so he will appeal to some smaller four year colleges but he may go the juco route for immediate playing time.
Ryan McCann, 6-3 Guard (Herriman) is the only consistent scorer for Herriman as he is averaging over 17 points per game this season. McCann has the ability to score for the outside along with getting to the rim which makes him a dangerous offensive player. McCann is a NAIA and junior college prospect.
Spencer Curtis, 6-2 Guard (Jordan) is the leading scorer for the 6-1 Jordan Beetdiggers. Curtis is an incredible football player which proves why he is such a good athlete. He is averaging over 14 points per game so far this season and is a deadly shooter from the outside. If Curtis decides to play basketball in college he will be a D2 and junior college prospect.
